Gijón will have its ICAN57 test next July 6

The City Council and the Sports Board of Gijón, together with other private collaborators, have contributed all their means, technical and human to carry out in 2014 a sports competition at the height of the ICAN brand in the center of the Cantabrian coast.

And it is that the next 6 of July of 2014 will arrive the first edition of the ICAN57 Gijón, where the triathletes will face the always challenging Cantabrian sea in the well-known beach of San Lorenzo, to then enjoy the wonderful landscapes and environments offered by the city of Gijón, on a route with a favorable profile that will allow you to get the most out of bikes and sneakers, both in the cycling segment and in the running race.

ICAN57 establishes the following distances for each of the segments: 1,9 km of swimming, 45 km of cycling and 10 km of running on foot. The ICAN tests are always without drafting.

Gijón has excellent conditions for the realization of an ICAN event, highlighting among other aspects its wide range of hotels, the mild climate in the summer months and the rich and varied gastronomy. But without a doubt, what makes the difference is the closeness and hospitality of its people, which will make triathletes and their companions feel at home. That is why an important economic impact is expected in destination, which is another of the keys that differentiate the ICAN tests and its sports tourism policy.

This new sporting adventure will have an offer of irrevocable launch, with a special price of exit, for the fastest, of only 50 € (limited to 48 hours or up to a limit of 100 registrations). The opening of the inscriptions will be next Monday 3 of March and, after this incentivized period, the prices of the inscriptions will pass to 65 € until one month before the celebration of the test and to 80 € in the period immediately preceding the celebration of the event.

Gijón joins the ICAN testing calendar for 2014, which already has competitions underway in Malaga (27 in April), Nordhausen (24 in August), Seville (5 in October) and Gandía (26 in October).
