Gran Triathlon Madrid opens registrations for the team time trial

The test, with the motto this 2023 of "ACT BIG” has established itself as one of the most anticipated national popular triathlon events of the year, and already has 500 registered two months after its celebration.

El Great Triathlon Madrid Registration opens this Monday, April 17 for the time trial by teams B C D; mixed and popular that will be held on the day of June 18 together with the Madrid Triathlon Time Trial Championship by teams.

The competition, a must for the Madrid triathlon

The 2023 edition of the Gran Triathlon Madrid has a dynamic competition program for all types of athletes, with a first day on June 17 of the most popular individual events and a second day on Sunday 18 with the team competition in format time trial.

On the 17th the distances are included super sprint, with 350 meters of swimming, 7,7 kilometers of cycling and 2 kilometers of running; Sprint, which consists of 750 meters of swimming, 20 kilometers of cycling and 5 kilometers of running; and Standard, which is disputed in 1500 meters of swimming, 40 kilometers of bicycle and 10 kilometers of running.

The sprint and standard modalities can be carried out by relays, with a reliever performing each of the segments.

Saturday 17

This first day of competition the day also includes tests of national sports level, with the sprint qualifier for the Spanish Championship of the modality that is disputed first thing in the morning; In addition to the fact that the individual sprint and standard competitions are scoring for the National Ranking of the Spanish Triathlon Federation.

Sunday 18th

On Sunday 18, the day will include competition of team time trial triathlon for popular and federated, including the option to play the test in mixed teams.

The Madrid Team Time Trial Triathlon Championship will award the title to the best women's and men's teams from federated clubs.

The competition route will take place in one of the most privileged settings of the Spanish capital, the green lung of Madrid, the Casa de Campo.

New services and raffles

This year, in addition, a training calendar has been added as a service to those registered, whose registration link is sent to those registered weekly, for advice to the participating athletes and so that they can adequately prepare for the competition to contest it with their best performance.

Another novelty is the sponsorship of +Triathlon, which includes raffles that are being carried out through the RRSS of the Gran Triathlon Madrid; bringing the test closer to its followers and participants. Different sports equipment prizes will be raffled, which interacts with triathlon fans and increases the excitement and expectation of the participants.

School Triathlon

On Saturday afternoon the tests of the School Triathlon Circuit will be held, for triathletes from Madrid schools and non-federated children who want to do a triathlon.

Registration will open three weeks before the date of the competition for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 17 who will swim, cycle and run at the Casa de Campo.

With no limit on places, about 800 little athletes are expected.

Collaboration of the Community of Madrid

The Community of Madrid collaborates in the different tests of the Great Madrid Triathlon as a joint initiative with the Madrid Triathlon Federation in order to promote the sport of triathlon.
