News and changes in the competition system of the Valencian Trialtón Federation

La Valencia Triathlon Federation (Trialocv) has published its new calendar for the 2023 season.

has done it with new arrivals, change in your competition system y new headquarters in the various competitions it organizes.

The 2023 season will start again in Cheste on January 15 with the start of the Lliga of Caixa Popular Clubs 2023.

The regional competition continues with the support of Caixa Popular and will count again with 6 tests in which the club spirit will once again be essential to score points. The tests that will integrate this competition are the following:

• 15 gen – DUATLÓ PER TEAMS CIRCUIT RICARDO TORMO CHESTE
• February 12 – III DUATLÓ ALBERIC
• February 18 – XII DUATLÓ CIUTAT D'ONTINYENT
• April 22 – OROPESA DEL MAR TRIATHLON
• April 30 – 33 VINARÒS TRIATHLÓ
• June 4 – TRIATHLÓ DE VALÈNCIA – PLATJA DE LA MALVA-ROSA

In 2023 the calendar is activated again the first month of the year, this time the second weekend.

La Lliga of Caixa Popular Clubs It maintains the 6 venues but incorporates 2 new competitions: the Oropesa del Mar Triathlon and the Valencia Triathlon - Platja de la Malva-Rosa.

In addition, in 2023 GEO Nutrición will continue as the official nutrition partner of the regional competition, and will be present at all post-finish refreshment stations.

In this edition the Lliga de Clubs Caixa Popular increases the cash prizes for clubs. The first 8 clubs being awarded and also being the total amount of €6.000. Therefore, the prizes for this competition are increased by €2.000.

Changes in the competition system

The competition system modifies competition formats and regulations with regard to provincial tests as well as non-drafting and even in the dispute for the regional title.

So the circuit nomenclature disappears and we talk about RANKINGS:

• Provincial Ranking Diputación de Castellón – 8 tests
• Provincial Ranking Diputación de València – 10 tests
• Provincial Ranking Diputación de Alicante – 7 tests
• Non-Drafting Ranking – 8 tests

The tests that will add to each of these rankings will always be the individual ones.

Neither the team events nor the relays nor the Lliga de Clubs Caixa Popular will award points to each of the rankings.

Always being the 3 best tests from which the score will be obtained in favor of each triathlete.

In addition, the provincial rankings are exclusive for federated triathletes from the Valencian Community, but the fact that the Non-Drafting Ranking is open to federated triathletes from all communities.

The objective is to encourage participation in these tests and the interest and mobility of athletes from all over the country, promoting the creation of a national ranking.

Autonomous Championships and novelty Autonomous Ranking

The Valencian Community will have 15 regional championships, 4 of them being paratriathlon.

The main novelty here is the introduction of a Autonomous Ranking whose points are extracted from 9 competitions selected from among the Autonomous Championships, being the following:

• Rojales Duathlon
• XIV Gandia Triathlon
• Swimrun Costa de Azahar
• Mediterranean Epic Triathlon
• II Aquatló Ciutat de Gandia
• X ICAN Triathlon Gandia
• VIII Duathlon Cross CTB City of Elche

The Valencian Community will have 1 national event, the La Nucía Duathlon Spanish Championship, and 1 international event, the Valencia Triathlon World Cup.
