Javier Gómez Noya is again without the Prince of Asturias Award

Yesterday the winner of this prestigious award was revealed where Noya was again among the finalists.

The New York Marathon has been awarded with the Prince of Asturias of 2014 sports. It has been recognized the outstanding record of this sporting event that started at 1970 and that has transcended to become an event of social integration, citizen spirit and global repercussion.

This marathon is the most popular race in the world where more than 50.000 people congregate

The New York Marathon has passed in the last round of voting by the jury by 14 votes to 4 (2 in white) to the Spanish national hockey team, after the candidacies of swimmer Mireia Belmonte and the national women's water polo team will be discarded.

Javier Gómez Noya who returned to be a finalist this year has not passed to the last rounds of voting.
