Patrick Lange will not be in Challenge Roth but will run an IRONMAN in Germany

The two-time IRONMAN world champion will not be on the start line of the Challenge Roth.

Challenge Roth 2020, which has a World Championship level, will not have the presence of the twice World Champion in Kona (2017-2018) Patrick Lange

Lange, commented on sport1.de about Roth ” You want to be there on one side and think that you will miss a race. But I think I'll have a few more years to go and I'm sure I'll be back at Roth."

It will debut this year in Salou

Lange has chosen Challenge Salou as proof to start the season, part as the main favorite, although he will have very good triathletes as rivals in the test.

IRONMAN will do it in Germany

He has not yet chosen proof to debut, but is shuffling the IRONMAN Frankfurt June 28 or IRONMAN Hamburg the 21.

Last year to forget

2019 was not a good year for Lange, since after the disappointing performances at the IRONMAN in Frankfurt and at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, he thought that everything would be better in Kona.

But things did not go well there since the 33-year-old German had to get off the bike and abandon the test.

This year he will have a new coach and coaching to work on his weaknesses.

"This 2020 I have Bjorn, my new coach, who just showed me some things where you have to start working to improve.

In addition, I have a coaching and a fitness coach, to work specifically on weaknesses."

This has motivated him, so he is looking forward to competing again.
