The second to enter the goal of Ironman Lanzarote was from Age Groups
Yesterday the XXVII edition of the Ironman Lanzarote Club was played where Alessandro De Gasperi and Lucy Gossage got the victory.
The two professional triathletes already know what it is to win in Lanzarote as they did in 2014 Lucy and 2015 De Gasperi.
Noteworthy is the impressive performance of the British Simone Mitchell who despite not be a professional athletehe succeeded get second to the goal, but due to the professional classification, second place went to Michele Vesterby. Third place went to Nikki Bartlett (GBR).
Simone Mitchell from 25 years with the 136 bib finished the test in a 9 time: 54: 29, being the first in her age group since she did not compete in the professional category and taking almost 3 minutes to the third classified Michele Vesterby. The winner invests 09:49:27 so what Simone has achieved is a fantastic time
Michell's success is not one day, since was second in Kona in the 2014 year and first in the Iromman Bolton and Mexico all in their age group
In social networks I commented the following
“¡Ironman Lanzarote does not disappoint! I achieved victory in my AG and also came second behind the incredible @lucygossage. Club La Santa Ironman Lanzarote is such an incredible iconic race, I enjoyed every minute of it! It was a dream race to return to long distance competition after 4 years.”
