The Olympic double swimming champion Sun Yang suspended 3 months by doping

The Olympic double champion in London 2012 and winner of five swimming world titles, has been suspended 3 months to verify that he consumed trimetazidine, a stimulant of the coronary circulation that in January was incorporated into the list of prohibited substances.

This offense has earned him a three-month suspension along with a fine of 5.000 yuan equivalent to $ 814. The 22-year-old Chinese swimmer has not contested the results but in his allegations he commented that it was due to a drug intended for circulation problems called Vasorel and that he did not know that it was included in the list of prohibited substances.

"I did not try to take advantage of sports, I am very depressed by what happened, now I must learn this lesson to be more careful in the future," commented the swimmer

There are no previous results.
