Xavier Llobet and Miguel Caballero head the III Tri-Neu Mountain Triathlon Gore Tex Canillo

triathlete Xavier Llobet, Olympian at the Athens Games 04, and Miguel Caballero, runner-up of Spain of mountain ski in pairs and current runner-up of the World of mountain races in Skygames 2012, lead the poster of the III Tri-Neu Mountain Triathlon Gore Tex Canillo in Andorra, which takes place this Saturday (15.00 hours) in the Principality and in which the climber Edurne Pasabán will offer the welcome speech.

 

 

   The test, organized by Top Crono and with the support of the Viladomat and Gore Tex stores, combines running, bike of mountain and cross-country skiing. In the first part or section of Trail Running, participants, in individual or team category, will have to run five kilometers on foot with a positive gradient of 200 meters and which will take place along streets and dirt roads around the town of Canillo.

 

   The second consists of eight kilometers of mountain biking with a constant climb with a 500-meter drop on a circuit that will alternate sections of asphalt with others that are quite demanding and in which many participants put their foot down. And the third is a mountaineering ski tour from the Forn ski slopes, 2,60 kilometers long and 500 meters of positive elevation gain, to Pic de la Portella.

 

   The triathlon can be played individually or by teams. In the case of the teams, they will be formed by three people and each of them will face one of the three sections or specialties that make up the race. In both cases there will be male and female category. Winners and participants will receive material worth 5.000 euros.
