Carlos David Prieto, trainer of Gómez Noya, UDC Sports 2014 award

Carlos David Prieto, coach of the four-time World Triathlon Champion, Javier Gómez Noya, has been chosen as the winner of the 2014 UDC Sports Award, in recognition of his work "in the high-performance sports technology of triathlon".

This prize will be given during the Gala of University Sports to be held in the Nautical Classroom of the University of A Coruña (UDC) next November 27.

David, who graduated in 2007 from the UDC Faculty of Sports Sciences and Physical Education, began training Noya after the 2012 London Olympics.

Since then, Javi has won two World Championships and one European Championship.
