Test Skechers GoMeb Speed 3

We present the latest model that the brand Skechers he got us to Triatlon News this season: the GoMeb Speed 3.

They are “flying” type shoes to use both in competition and in quick training. They have a fairly low weight, and to the touch, the materials with which they are designed are very flexible, offering us the option of choosing between different color finishes.

The first thing we would highlight about this model is that its last is a little narrower than that of other models of the same brand. The sole of this shoe is neutral, so it adapts to all types of tread. The toe cap is very flexible and gains strength and fixation as the sole advances towards the plantar arch and the heel of the foot.

In the photo, you can see a series of blue studs (Go impulse Sensors), which are responsible for providing stability and grip during the tread.

Skechers, designs a low heel in these GoMeb Speed 3. This allows to perform the joint game with total freedom and comfort, without losing the heel fixation.

In the Achilles tendon area they have used very soft and soft materials, thus avoiding discomfort. These aspects make them very comfortable shoes to use in competition.

On the sides of the shoe you will find the logo of the brand projected onto the fabric that surrounds the instep area of the foot. The combination they make of colors are daring and very up-to-date.

One of the hallmarks of this brand is the M-Strike system. This system, you can differentiate it in the sole of the shoe with its change of color. What they intend with him is to favor a metatarsal footprint and thus make it more effective. Although in GoMeb Speed 3 This feeling is not as pronounced as, for example, in the model Go Strada.

Another highlight is the tongue. In this case it is not padded, it is simply the same fabric that is used in the rest of the upper. The laces, as in all models Skechers, give the option to choose between traditional or elastic type.

The insole is fixed to the interior of the sole and the inside of the shoe has no seam, which makes it a good option to use in triathlon, where you usually do not stop to put on your socks.

My personal opinion about GoMeb Speed 3 is that it is a material to take into account when choosing a competition shoe. They present very good cushioning, are very stable underfoot and light in weight.

As for comfort in competition, they have good benefits. I have used them in triathlons from distance sprint to medium distance, passing through Olympic and without wearing socks, they have not produced any kind of scratch or blister, even when they are wet.

They adapt perfectly to all types of terrains: dirt, asphalt, grass and the best thing is that they do not lose grip in humid areas such as refreshments.

The option of elastic cords is another "plus" in your favor. For those of us who like the foot to be well restrained during the race, with the option of being able to put on an elastic cord, you have that feeling of restraint, which does not give the typical gums, without having to waste an "extra" time in the transition.

Lastly, I would like to mention that they are winning shoes. The athlete Meb Kflezighi won the Boston Marathon in 2014 with this model.
