Nfoque Race Team in the men's category and Ecosport Triathlon Alcobendas take the title in the Clubs category.

This weekend, the first scoring event of the 2014 Duathlon League took place at the Casa de Campo in Madrid, which also featured a minisprint distance test in a test belonging to the Specialized DU & TRI circuit.

In spite of the cold, the wind and the rain the event happened with total normality, welcoming to near 600 participants in this edition.

In the men's category, Luis Miguel Martín Berlanas proclaimed himself the winner, showing his great skills as an athlete from the first segment of the foot race where he imposed a strong rhythm that only the young Ignacio Barranco and Jesús de la Morena could follow. The three started the cycling sector 40 seconds apart over a chasing group of about 10 duathletes among which were great specialists in this segment such as Blázquez, Garnacho and Jose Almagro, among others. The perfect understanding between the leading trio and their strong rhythm saw them arrive with about a minute ahead of the chasing group. The last segment of the final foot race only served to define the podium boxes, with a clear advantage for the winner, Luis Miguel Martín de Berlanas of the N Focus Race Team, 1:05:30, the second to reach the finish line was Ignacio Barranco from Deporama Triathlon Soriano, 1:05:43, and a brave Jesús de La Morena, 1:05:56, who held third place despite pressure from his teammate Miguel Ángel Garnacho, 1:06:39, both of the Focus Race Team.

In the women's category, Anna Jördens of the Galapagar Triathlon Club took the title with a total time of 01: 17: 28, after marching the favorites together in the first race on foot, it was the cycling that defined the order with a great Anna Jördens solo, followed by Lucía Pérez from the Diablillos de Rivas Triathlon Club that finished the race in a total time of 01: 19: 47, being Maria Esther Fernández of Ecosport Triathlon Alcobendas the third classified with a time of 01: 19: 53.

In category clubs Nfoque Race Team in men's category and Ecosport Triathlon Alcobendas in women's category took the title in this test.

The next scoring test will take place next Sunday 9 March in Alcobendas, being also the Duathlon Community of Madrid Championship and also having a test in minisprint mode for all who want to debut in this discipline.
