Marina Damlaimcourt Champion of the Community of Madrid Duathlon

The Tri-Val Valdemoro Club in the men's category and CT Diablillos de Rivas in the female category, winners as club clubs.

 

Excellent morning of Duathlon lived this weekend in Alcobendas where great international triathletes of the stature of the Olympic Marina Damlaimcourt o Alejandro Santamaría They have participated together with the best duathletes of the Community of Madrid, as well as local athletes, in this Championship of the Community of Madrid of Duathlon - Villa de Alcobendas, which also had the presence of several triathletes belonging to other autonomous communities that approached to enjoy this morning of competition.

 

 

With about 700 participants, the Villa de Alcobendas Duathlon It broke the participation record, with more than 100 girls participating in the female category in an event that had nearly 100 volunteers from the organizing club, Ecosport Triathlon Alcobendas, who watched over this sporting event at all times.

 

Duathlon Villa de Alcobendas began at 09.30 in the morning to start the minispint test that ran on a 2.5 km circuit of running on foot, 10 km by bike to finish with 1.5 km of running where Ramón de Grado and Inés Santamaría took first place on the podium.

 

The 11 of the morning was when the best Duatletes of the Community of Madrid in the men's category came together to participate in the sprint distance of the Duathlon Community of Madrid Championship, offering a high level of competition as well as the women's event. In the women's race the great favorite to the podium, the Olympic triathlete María Damlaimcourt (01: 06: 13) offered a spectacular race side by side with Sara Bonilla in the first segment on foot, hanging both to the first pursuer group. The leadership position was shown by Marina in the cycling segment, finishing the race in the last kilometers of the running race where she took the title with total authority, reaching the finish line with more than two minutes of advantage over her pursuer, Sara Bonilla of the Triathlon Club. Clavería (01: 08: 29) leaving the third place of the podium to Paula María García of the CT Devils of Rivas (01: 08: 34).

 

On a tough circuit with several slopes and with the epicenter in the vicinity of the Andalusia Park where the pit area was located for another year, the men's test offered a very tight race where Luis Miguel Martín Berlanas of the Nfoque Race Team beat the sprint to Luis Miguel Sánchez Rosado, of TriVal Valdemoro with a total time of 58.31, followed both by Iván Cáceres del Diablillos de Rivas that ended with a time of 58.31.

 

Duatlón Villa de Alcobendas also had 6 paratriathletes who had their independent start in a race that also included duatlets of the cadet and junior categories and that, without a doubt, left the audience impressed by their great level in competition.

 

In the Clubs category, the CT Diablillos de Rivas in the Women's category and the Tri-Val Triathlon Valdemoro in Men's Club achieved the victory.

 

Once the test was completed and during the awards ceremony, Ramón Cubián, First Lieutenant of the Mayor of Alcobendas, Fernando Martínez, Councilor for Education and Sports, Mercedes Fernández, Deputy Director General of the General Directorate of Youth and Sports, were present. of CAM and Virginia Sanz, President of the Madrid Triathlon Federation.
