We analyze the Skechers GoRun Forza

Thanks to the great cushioning, stability and consistency the shoe itself helps us to correctly execute the support and corrects mistakes in our career technique

A few weeks ago we present the model GoRun Ride 5 within the novelties of the spring-summer season of 2016, and today we have the GoRun Forza, with a slightly higher weight, 300g by 240 of the Ride5, this weight increase gives the GoRun Forza a great cushioning and consistency, making it an ideal shoe for pronator runners.

Sole

Skechers GoRun Forza

In the GoRun Forza we find two different parts in the sole. On the one hand there is the heel area to the metatarsals, which uses the M-Strike system, which favors a high resistance and stability in the area of greatest contact with the ground. The GoRun Ride 5 had in all the sole the characteristic "Go Impulse Sensor" circles of Skechers whereas the GoRun Forza only has them in the front area. In my opinion as a pronator runner, for my type of footprint I prefer the interlocking grooves of the Go Run Forza.

As mentioned above, the other part of the sole is the front metatarsal area to the tip, where the circles "Go Impulse Sensor" of a 2 or 3mm depth (depending on the area) presented in 4 horizontal rows appear It provides great flexion of the shoe in this area.

As usual in the Sckechers shoes, the drop is important, the Go Run Forza have a drop of 8mm; the part of the metatarsal measures 28mm while that of the heel reaches 36. Even so, this is a shoe with a drop 3mm smaller than the model Go Run Ride 5 that we analyzed previously. In these shoes we do not notice the rocker effect of other models, on the one hand the toe cap if it is raised 4-5mm but the heel area is practically stuck to the ground in its entirety, which favors runners who need stability in their tread .

We must also highlight the M-Strike system in the front of the metatarsal, which aims to favor the naturalness of the footprint by obtaining a more advanced foot entry.

The upper

Upper Skechers GoRun Forza

The upper is composed of a single piece with no seams and also has thermally sealed reinforcements in the middle area, which provide the shoe with great durability and firmness.

In the front of the foot the fingers are not pressed due to the great spacing of the area and these expand in their natural form inside the shoe. Also, due to the absence of seams, the possibility of chafing is minimal, being able to run without socks in triathlons and aquatlons without any problem.

The tongue is loose and fluffy which gives us a soft and comfortable feeling once we tie the laces, which are flat which favors not slip during the race. Finally, in the area of the Achilles tendon we find a reinforcement that increases the security and support of the heel.

Conclusions

After several shootings we have been able to obtain a series of interesting conclusions. On the one hand, due to the great rear support and the flexibility of the front, the shoe helps us to have a correct footprint without having to concentrate on not excessively pounding.

Thanks to the great cushioning, stability and consistency the shoe itself helps us to correctly execute the support and corrects mistakes in our career technique. Obviously, the fact of fitting the Go Run Forza does not replace the specific training of strength, race technique, proprioception, etc ... but it does allow us to capture in our running race the advances obtained in the training.

Skechers is the official sponsor of running shoes on the Ironman European Tour.
