ASICS 2024 News: we attend its “Press Day”

Triathlon News had the pleasure of attending this event last week at the Madrid showroom of the ASICS company where the latest sneaker models for 2024 were shown as well as the news in running textiles.

From the hand of the brand's Product Manager, these were the most outstanding models of the day, both for asphalt and trail running:

• Gel Cumulus 26
• Gel Pulse 15
• Novablast 4
• Blunderbuss Max 3
• Trabuco Gel 12

During the presentation, the press was shown, in a very simple and schematic way, a table to be able to choose the model that fits each athlete according to their needs, highlighting for this season Gel Nimbus, Gel Cúmulus, Gel Pulse and Novablast as the brand's big bets.

Furthermore we were able “dissect” a shoe to discover all the “technology” from within which it has inside: sole with combined compounds that make the shoes more resistant and durable, where we were also able to touch the inner pure gel unit strategically placed to improve comfort and cushioning, as well as touch the internal carbon plate with the one that the Metaspeed model has.

Between specialized media and athletes, it was possible to count on the presence of Julen Díez (https://www.julendiez.com/) national Triathlon coach and medium and long distance triathlete with podium (3rd) in AG (18-24) at IRONMAN Kona with a time of 9h07'23'.

“I usually train with the Novablast 4 models, even for series, as well as occasionally the Nimbus 26. For competition I bet on the Metaspeed since thanks to its carbon plate, greater reactivity is achieved, which translates into speed in the running race. ”

To end the day, they showed us a big surprise that was revealed confidentially to the press and that will be big news in the coming weeks.
