New Orbea Ordu bike for Triathlon
The Orbea brand meets 175 years and launches a new edition of its star triathlon bike, the Ordu
exploring means "hour" in Basque. It seems the perfect name for a bicycle created to synthesize all the training work and distill it in the present, totally focused on the moment of your life. That moment when you surrender to the point where you are unable to remember the minutes you spent on the road. When the pulsations, the watts and the selection of gears disappear from your perception and you only have the bike and you. We all know moments like that, infrequent occasions in which somehow you manage to roll over your capacity and make the perfect effort. All the pieces fit and you live the moment of your life.
SPEED MATTER
The Ordu is known for being the bicycle of triathlon records. Well, the time spent in the wind tunnel allows us to assume that you will win some segments in Ironman events. But if the 180 kilometers competitions are not your thing and if you only run when they chase you, this Ordu has been consciously modeled to comply with UCI regulations, so the route cyclists can take advantage of the Ordu's benefits with total trust.
FOR WHOM IS ORDU?
The new Ordu is aimed at notable triathletes who want to renew their frame and get a faster, lighter and more specific bike. It is also the option chosen by professional or elite route cyclists who need a time trial bicycle approved by the UCI. The Ordu is the competition model chosen by the Cofidis team and by the Orbea / Orca triathletes.

Our process of working with the composites-the selection of the materials and how we use them-is crucial in the final result. A functional design allows us an optimized range from the point of view of performance, comfort, durability and value over time.
MULTIPLE ASSEMBLY SYSTEM
The design of the Ordu is full of versatility and ingenuity. If necessary, an optional storage shroud on the saddle tube and a bag mounted on top of the tube keep tools and food out of your pockets and in a readily accessible place. The various supports for bottles and triple projections in the diagonal tube are several options to configure the hydration means if you want to use the maximum capacity or profile your aerodynamic posture.
The wind tunnel offers a great opportunity to test the multiple configurations and the optional mounting points included in the Ordu chart. It may be that these data seem a bit gimmicky, but finding the fastest configuration makes the difference in the end.
INTEGRATION OF TRIRIG BRAKES
The Ordu is compatible with all standard road brakes with center bolt, but has been specially optimized for the new TriRig brake system. The shapes and angles flow together with hardly any discontinuity between brake and frame. A hole for the rear cable on the back of the seat tube provides a clean outlet for the brake cable to the gauge, without additional accommodations.
It is a minimalist, aerodynamic and beautiful system, without the disadvantages of the meticulous braking systems exclusive inside the fork or under the bottom bracket.
