Orbea presents its news in #UNIBIKE

Orbea has presented #UNIBIKE its bets for the triathlon with the Oiz, Ordu and Orca models

Orbea has presented during this weekend the new 2015 range in Unibike, where besides showing the new helmets we have been able to discover three interesting bets for the world of Triathlon, highlighting in MTB format the new Orbea Oiz, for the lovers of medium and long distance the new Orbea Ordu Ome and the recognized model of road Orbea: ORCA

ORBEA OIZ

Orbea Oiz Unibike 2014

In MTB format, the new Oiz with which the runner Catherine Pendrel has just achieved the title of XC2014 World Champion, noted for having six types of frames and two sizes of wheels:

  • Small and medium size frame with wheels by 27.5
  • Medium, large and extra box with wheels of 29'

Orbea demonstrates the clear commitment to 27,5' and 29' wheels

Una  "full carbon" bicycle that has OMR CARBON (Orbea Monocoque Race) and OMP CARBON (Orbea Moncoque Perfonmance) technology, with different types of carbon fibers in search of offering greater resistance to torsion and comprehension, giving rise to rigid structures that, in turn with the low modulus fibers, improve the absorption of vibrations, achieving maximum efficiency and solidity.

This model also has UFO technology that offers a ultralight bicycle It needs little maintenance being also very rigid to accelerate compared to other models of double suspension. All this is tested with the Advanced Dynamics Technology, which sets a seal of quality on this model and makes it a wise choice for all enthusiasts of Duathlon and Cros Triathlon.

ORBEA ORDU OME

Orbea Ordu Unibike 2014

For passionate about the medium and long distance Orbea presented the new models during UNIBIKE Ordu OME, a bicycle that shares many characteristics with the Ordu OMR, being the most important the experience of the cyclist and the efficiency of the bicycle, looking to design an aerodynamic bicycle, comfortable and fast, regardless of the dimensions of the frame.

In this model, work has been done to achieve a perfect aerodynamic molding, with a front tube of only 38 millimeters in width which reduces the resistance and integrates to the main triangle making this area more slippery and smoothing the flow of air on the frame, also having a frame and fork authorized by the UCI, which makes it a leading competitor in official time trial events.

Other highlights that have been worked on are the rigidity to be able to transmit maximum energy to the rear wheel looking for a faster bike with better handling and more power on the road and a geometry adapted to the triathlon and an affordable price, using the Orbea Carbon Monocoque evolution technology that takes advantage of the combination of high modulus fibers with standard carbon fibers for achieve an optimal balance between performance, durability and price. In summary, an excellent bet quality-price.

ORBEA ORCA

Orbea Orca Unibike 2014

Orca Orca It is presented as a machine to conquer the mountains and climb to the top of the podium. Competition road bicycles have become incredible minimalist machines, but the greater the number of elements that are eliminated from them, the greater the importance of those that remain.

The form is studied and calculated to the smallest functional detail. The lower part of the frame supports the upper components as a suspension bridge, joining the elements in a perfect balance of rigidity and lightness. The diagonal tube, surprisingly wide, and the pods of the new Orca they provide an inceibles fortitude and rigidity, while the upper tube and the straps have been reduced to the minimum size. The main objective of lsus stylized forms and reduce mass. The set is greater than the sum of the parts: a box of 900 grams with a performance that is almost revolutionary.
