We analyze the Skechers GOMED SPEED3: Light, cushioned and reactive

The Gomed Speed3 are presented as neutral, attractive slippers

 

 

During these last weeks I have been training with the Skechers GOMED SPEED3I had never tried this brand and it has really been a very good experience. Tested on asphalt and dirt track, dry and wet, during 60 'routes. I will start with an introduction, global description and by parts and finally its evaluation:

Slippers created by and for marathon runner Meb Keflezighi, who won the Boston marathon wearing the GoMeb speed3 and fourth place in the NYC marathon.

These Speed3 are presented as neutral shoes, aesthetically attractive, with two types of laces, some flat and other more rounded and elastic, soft inside and very light, 233g.

 

 

Two-layer upper, very light and coated in the areas of most friction, making it a resistant but breathable shoe. The tongue is simple, very thin and covers the entire instep of the foot well without wrinkling or rubbing, and starts far enough back to leave a good space for the toes. The heel part is padded with foam and covered with a smooth and soft layer. In addition, the edges are closed with flat seams, it could be said that "it has no seams", which allows them to be used without socks. They are really comfortable.

 

 

The midsole is a low profile foam, 14 mm front and 18 mm at the heel, with a Drop of 4mm, giving it cushioning without detracting from the momentum. It is firm, flexible and with good response capacity. When running they give a soft and thrown footprint.

In the sole we find circular gums embedded in the foam, perhaps what gives them good grip and propulsion, along with the rest of the drawing. In midfoot, Skechers uses a stability plate called Dupont Delrin, a hard polymer to improve the average stiffness of the foot. Even so, although they are very comfortable shoes, I would not highlight their stability.

 

 

In conclusion, the Skechers GOMED SPEED3 are shoes that offer lightweight but sufficiently cushioned to use in medium and even long distance, as long as they are light runners and with a good running technique. Soft tread, momentum and comfort, even without socks.
