Volvo bets on a technology to avoid being run over by a cyclist

The Volvo Company will present in the 2015 edition of the CES (Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas) a new safety technology for cyclists

 

 

This technology will serve to prevent accidents since awill visa drivers and cyclists from the vicinity of the other vehicle to reduce the pace and be alert to avoid any kind of mishap.

Specifically, a helmet developed in collaboration with POC and Ericcson will be presented, which will count thanks to the Smartphone with a communication between the car and the helmet that will notify both of their presence and that could come to a halt automatically when detecting a dangerous situation for the cyclist.
