LUCK presented its prototype shoes with power meter at Eurobike

The meter has a sensor in the part of the metatarsal that perceives the power and cadence made by each leg

For four days, from the 27 to the 30 in August, the Spanish brand LUCK presented his collection in Eurobike 2014, having a great reception. Striking colors, carbon floors and top quality materials define the brand. Luck's breakthroughs include bespoke shoes with biomechanical corrections or custom-designed shoes that are unique to each cyclist. But what really caught the attention of all audiences was the power meter.

The power meter is an invention developed by LUCK throughout the last years. For the first time, an integrable meter appears on the sole of the shoe. The meter has a sensor in the part of the metatarsal that perceives the power and cadence made by each leg. This information is collected and sent to the mobile phone in real time by Bluetooth system, being compatible for Android and iPhone. The device has a rechargeable battery. Another plus of this invention is that it is easily interchangeable, which means that if the shoes break down it would be possible to change the system to a new pair.

It is expected that the power meter will go on sale for the christmas 2014. At the moment it's just a prototype, you still have to adjust the last details. The final model will be light and compact, practically imperceptible for the cyclist who uses it.
