Sam Laidlow, reveals his calendar for Kona and will compete twice in Spain

Sam Laidlow, the young French triathlete who won last year the World Cup in Nice, has confirmed his plans for this season.

You will have an agenda where you will participate in the  T100 Triathlon World Tour, in addition to setting his goal on defending his world title in Kona.

Commitment to IRONMAN

Despite the appeal of the new Professional Triathletes Organization (PTO) competitions, Laidlow has reiterated that will continue competing in the IRONMAN distance, emphasizing that his heart will always belong to this modality.

Although does not rule out participating in PTO races His main objective continues to be to expand his record in the IRONMAN World Championship that will be held this year in Kona.

Will compete in Spain 

To ensure his participation in Kona, Laidlow plans to compete in the IRONMAN Vitoria-Gasteiz.

Laidlow's season will begin in Miami, and then travel to Singapore, before facing the main block of its preparation.

Later he will compete in the T100 in London and then Ibiza, before the big challenge in Kona

  1. Miami – It will be the starting point of your season. The exact date is not specified, but it is understood that it is one of the first races on his agenda.
  2. Singapore – He will continue his competitive journey by traveling to Singapore, representing another key piece in his preparation and competition strategy.
  3. IRONMAN Vitoria-Gasteiz in Spain – This race is crucial as it acts as the validation competition to ensure your participation in the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona. It takes place two weeks before his next engagement in London.
  4. PTO London – Just after competing in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Laidlow will face the challenge in London, marking a turning point in his season regarding recovery and adaptation between competitions.
  5. PTO Ibiza – This competition takes place a month before the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, serving as a final stage in your preparation before heading to Hawaii.
  6. IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii – Laidlow's main goal for the season, where he will defend his world title.
