Taylor Knibb World Champion IRONMAN 70.3 2023 

Today, the IRONMAN World Championship 70.3  in the city of Lahti, Finland, where the victory went to Taylor Knibb for the second time, revalidating the title last year.

The test has been disputed under the distance of 1.900 meters of swimming, 90 kilometers of cycling and 21 kilometers of running.  

In the female category, victory has been for Taylor Knibb with a time of 3: 53: 02, followed by Kat matthews (3: 57: 05) and for Imogen Simmonds (3: 57: 55). 

A total of 44 triathletes launched into the cold Finnish waters. Lucy Hall marked the time in the swimming segment with a time of 24:53 and 5 triathletes in 10 seconds, including the favorite Taylor Knibb.  

Another big favourite. Daniela Ryf yielded 1:25 next to Paula Findlay y Emma PallantWhile Laura Philipp lost 2:44 going out with Anna Noguera. 

Passing through km 15 of cycling, Taylor Knibb leader next to Imogen Simmonds. 

a little later Knibb he left alone reaching T2 with the best cycling partial of 2:07:52 and an advantage of 2:09 over Imogen Simmonds and 5:08 on the quartet Matthews, Pallant, Findlay y Ryf. 

As for the foot race, it was a recital of Taylor Knibb who with a time in the half marathon of 1:18:05 got the win with a time of 3:53:02 getting her second IRONMAN 70.3 world title in a row. 

Second is the British Kat matthews (3:57:05) and third Imogen Simmonds (3:57:55)  

As for the Spanish Anna Noguera the last checkpoint was at km 9 of the race on foot.

Taylor Knibb, a brilliant season

Shortly after securing his qualification for his second Olympic Games with an outstanding fourth position in the Paris Olympic Test Event, Knibb has hit the table by winning his second title at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Lahti

In addition, this season he has achieved victory in the PTO US Open

This victory has not only cemented her status as one of the best triathletes today, but has also positioned her as one of the favorites to represent the United States at the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.
