Mario Mola will receive the 2019 outstanding athlete award
The Spanish Olympic Executive Committee has selected him to receive the award for the outstanding athlete 2019
The three-time World Champion (2016,2017 and 2018) Mario Mola, has been chosen by the Spanish Olympic Executive Committee to receive the outstanding athlete award Recognizing his important work and contribution to Olympism.
This same committee also decided that both Javier Gómez Noya e Ivan Raña receive the olympic order, the most important award an athlete can receive.
He is already classified for the 2020 Olympics
Mola, has been ITU world runner-up this year and at the moment is the only triathlete that has insured place at the Tokyo Olympics, after his second place in the Grand Final of Laussane.
This it will be his third participation in an Olympic Games after London 2012 where he was 16th and Rio 2016 which was 8th.
