The La Santa Ironman Club 70.3 Lanzarote confirms its date for the 2018

The test will open registrations next January 16

An impressive volcanic landscape together with the natural beauty of La Geria, the region of protected vineyards of Lanzarote, are the backdrop for the event IRONMAN 70.3 Lanzarote, of the Club La Santa. The seventh edition of this iconic event the Saturday 6 of October. 

In the last edition James Cunnama and Anne Haug  victory was won in the Emilio Aguayo it was second,  Anna Noguera fifth  Albert Moreno sixth and Ricardo Hernández nineth

La swimming It is done in the lagoon next to Club Santa. The route is a single turn in calm waters like those of a swimming pool, without waves or currents, but with the buoyancy of the water coming from the sea. It is a clean swimming, with the first buoy away from the exit. In addition, the output is done in the traditional format, that is, "en masse".

First the PROS will start both boys and girls at the 8: 00 in the morning, 5 'after all the age groups will do it together and after them the paratriathletes.

The great novelty of this edition and that will be kept safely in the 2018 was its cycling tour change completely. The triathletes will leave the Santa la Club in the direction of Soo, Muñique, Tiagua and Mancha Blanca. Later, they enter the TIMANFAYA National Park with lava flows from the eruptions of the 18th century that will leave impressive images for the triathletes.

Then go from Mancha Blanca to Uga by Tinaguatón and by LA GERIA, the famous wine region of Lanzarote with its characteristic vineyards within small volcanic holes that allow to create magnificent wines despite the scarce rain of the island. Returning from Uga to the Monument to the Peasant of Cesar Manrique in the center of the island, the route will take you again by the Tinguatón bicycle route to Mancha Blanca, Tiagua, Muñique, Soo and Caleta de Caballo to finish at the T2, located in the stadium of Club La Santa The cycling circuit will be closed to traffic and the circulation will be controlled by the police.

The circuit of Foot race consists 3 turns of 7 km. with departure and arrival in Stadium of Club La Santa and leaving by the south reception of the establishment, in front of the two Olympic swimming pools. The route continues along the road that leads to the fishing village, La Santa. The athletes will enjoy the beautiful views of the sea under the sun of Lanzarote, while they will receive the unconditional support of the spectators through the streets of the town and at the turning point of the stadium of Club La Santa.

IRONMAN 70.3 Lanzarote 2017 will award 50 qualifying places for age groups for the IRONMAN World Championship 70.3 2019
