Judith Corachán takes fourth place in Ironman 70.3 of the Philippines

Her fourth position is the best of a Spaniard in a continental Ironman 70.3 championship outside of Europe

 

This morning has been celebrated a new edition IM 70.3 of the Philippines, Asian and Pacific distance championship, where the WITL triathlete? Judith Corachán has finished in a brilliant 4ª position. The victory has been for the great favorite, the Swiss Carolina Steffen.

The Czech Radka Vodickova was the first to cover the 1900 meters, followed by Judith to 53 '' and stuck to it, unless 10 '' in third position made it Stefen. The Swiss imposed a strong pace in cycling and hunted the Czech, making both together virtually the entire cycling segment. For its part Judith Corachán came third to the T2 to 3'24 '' of the duo head and with an advantage of 2 'compared to the fourth classified, the Australian Sara Crowley.

Finally the victory would be for "the queen" of the Philippines, the Swiss Caroline Steffen who achieved her fourth victory and second position for the Czech Radka Vodickova. In addition to 5 'the podium was closed by Sara Crowley who had overtaken Judith in the race on foot. Corachán finished in a heroic fourth position, suffering a lot in the race on foot and getting a great result.

The Ironman 70.3 from the Philippines is another step in the great season that is being carried out Judith Corachán, her fourth position is the best of a Spaniard in a continental Ironman 70.3 championship outside of Europe and reaffirms the great growth of the Spanish women's triathlon in an 2016 year that is still historic.
