Eneko Llanos and Emilio Aguayo dispute the Ironman 70.3 Dubai with Alistair Brownlee as the main favorite

On Friday 2 of February a new edition of the Ironman 70.3 of Dubai is celebrated, first of the three tests that compose the Triple Crown, next to the World Championship of IM 70.3 and IM 70.3 of Barhein.

As we advance a few days ago Emilio Aguayo y Eneko Llanos will be the first PROs in the men's category to compete in 2018 within the Ironman circuit and will do so in the Ironman 70.3 from Dubai, in the case of Emilio to score points for the IM 70.3 World Cup while Eneko Llanos will start its "Road to Kona" particular in 2018.

The test has the incentive of the return to the competition of the double Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee who is the top favorite to victory. Next to him other candidates for the podium are the New Zealander Terenzo Bozzone, The Swiss It Ruedi y Sven Rieder or the German Maurice Carnation. Eneko Llanos will start with number 16, while Emilio Aguayo it will do with the nº35, it will be for both a great opportunity to measure itself with some of the best triathletes of the world in medium distance.

As regards the female event, the main favorite is the British Holly Lawrence, world champion in 2016 and current winner of IM 70.3 of Barhein. Like the men, the test will have a great start list, highlighting triathletes like the German one Anne Haug, the Swedish Asa Lundstrom or the British too Kimberley Morrison

The competition will start the 7: 00 in the morning local time, the 4: 00 Spanish time with the male PRO output. Subsequently, PROs and age groups will do so.
