Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee will participate in Abu Dabhi 2013

Alistair Brownlee has announced its intention to participate in this prestigious triathlon although in the shortest distance.

He wants to participate in March with the Abu Dhabi short course, which is composed of 1.5 km of swimming followed by 100 km of bike without drafting and finishing the test with a 10 km run.

"I'm used to competing in the distance of 40km" it will be a challenge for me to do the 100km.

Alistar will have to cope with the high temperatures as I am used to training in colder weather.
