FETRI receives the Olympic plaque for the 2023 season 

La Spanish Federation of Triathlon (FETRI) has been awarded the prestigious Olympic Plaque by the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE), in recognition of his exceptional performance and contribution to triathlon during the 2023 season.  

This honor highlights not only the organizational success of FETRI, but also its fundamental role in the promotion and development of triathlon in Spain. 

The Olympic Plate, a award of great relevance in the sports field, It is awarded to entities that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to sport and its values.  

A great season in 2023

In the case of FETRI, this recognition comes after a notable season in which it organized world-class events, contributing significantly to the international profile of Spanish triathlon. 

During the 2023 season, FETRI carried out the organization of large-scale events, such as the Multisport Triathlon World Championship in Ibiza, European Triathlon Championship in Madrid, and, for the first time in history, the Grand Final of the Triathlon World Series and Paralympic Triathlon World Championship in Pontevedra.  

These events not only attracted elite athletes from around the world, but also put Spain center stage in international triathlon. 

The sustainability., a key point

A notable aspect of FETRI's management has been its compromise with sustainability.  

The Ibiza Multisport World Cup was chosen as the first event in Europe to obtain Zero Waste certification from the 'Mission Zero Academy', an achievement that underlines the ecological responsibility and environmental commitment of the federation. 

The Spanish triathlon is going through a great moment, thanks in large part to the work and management of the FETRI. 

This distinction not only recognizes past achievements, but also motivates the federation and the Spanish triathlon community to continue working to maintain and raise the standard of the sport in the coming years. 

FETRI has proven to be a key institution in the advancement of triathlon in Spain, not only through the organization of top-level events, but also in its focus on sustainability and inclusion.
