Tim Don and Matt Russell Classifieds for #IMkona

The two triathletes who suffered an accident last year in Kona, will participate again in the Ironman World Championship next October

After we knew the Kona classification of Tim Don, we were all waiting for Matt Russell I also did it. This morning we commented that he had stayed out for just 15 points, but now the CEO Ironman He has called him personally and invited him to the test.

Remember that Matt had a motorcycle accident last year during the race, when one retired to the circuit.

This published the triathlete on their social networks

Yesterday Andrew Messick gave me a call. He congratulated me on my recent finish at #IMMT and mentioned I was the first professional to not qualify for Ironman World Championships. Considering the circumstances and my near miss at qualifying, he said that I deserve to come back and compete again so they offered me a wild card. Before I made a decision, I wanted to communicate with my family. This morning we made the decision to accept the offer. This was not an easy decision for me but my heart is telling me to finish what I started last year. The above photo is my last Kona finish from 2016 when I finished 12th. I'll be giving my best shot to crack the top 10 this year, however just finishing will be a huge victory to me. Thank you all for the continued support! ?? ? - @talbotcox #grateful #roadtokona # comeback2018 #keepbelieving #nevergiveup #IMKona #followyourheart

Taking into account the circumstances and that I had practically qualified, he said that I deserve to go back and compete again, so they offered me a wild card.

Before making a decision, I wanted to communicate with my family. This morning we made the decision to accept the offer. This was not an easy decision for me, but my heart tells me to finish what I started last year.

I will do my best to reach the 10 top this year, however, just finishing will be a great victory for me. Thank you all for the continued supportor"
