A couple of years ago I decided not to return to a competition in Galicia, rather to Pontevedra since there were people there, not many fortunately, who had not treated me well at the end of my time at FETRI, there were too many interests.

Although they are still they are not what they used to be, even if they keep getting on the pedestal of control from time to time. Fortunately I did not see them in this weekend of the Spanish Championship and if I saw them I did not even notice, so I was happy and they ... well, that's it.

However It was worth going back to Pontevedra where I had gone on numerous occasions and where I worked in the organization of national and international events, until one day you fell badly to someone and ... they tried to give you on all sides.

As my parents used to say, if you keep saying things clearly and in the face you will be happier, but you will have more enemies! They already knew what I would be like when I grew up when they saw me act as a teenager.

Today reviewing the championship a little is those Wednesday naps, I did not remember them I'm cured! Hahaha I thought, so I preferred to analyze other kinds of things. And of course there are several things I would like to remember:

1º WITH GOMEZ NOYA SUCCESS IS INSURED

It's almost the same as you organize it, if it runs Javier Gómez Noya the success of the public, of emotion, and of admiration and respect for him is assured. The truth that more we can say, is a crack in the sport, its results endorse him and personally even if it fits more.

He attends to the whole world, he takes thousands of photos, he always smiles, he greets us, he talks to everyone and we could well say that he is a model of an athlete and of course a person. We would have to get more performance from the figure of Javier as an exponent of this sport.

It was exciting to see him compete, I imagine what the audience that was there felt, the triathletes who followed the test from the side of the spectator and those who ran with him.

Yes, I'm sure everyone was thrilled to see him compete, even I with 28 triathlon seasons got me to enjoy and get excited. You can not ask for more, it's the 1 number in the world and everyone, everyone knows it.

We will always follow his steps and hope that after he gets the gold in Rio, be the best of the long distance, he will still give us many joys.

Congratulations also to your coach, friend, companion and confidant Carlos Prieto that has achieved an inseparable couple in sports.

2º A SPECIAL AND INTENSE "CURRE"

In other tests, when they go wrong, in this chapter we would "fall from a donkey" to the FETRI for being the co-organizer of the event, although those failures do not have much to do, as they almost do not have organizational success that undoubtedly falls on the organizer of the event. Well, it's clear that now it's time to congratulate the FETRIThey will have some guilt.

But especially the work in terms of the direction of the test and assembly corresponds to LODECO, led by Miguel and all his people and as "executive" to Poka that is in all or almost ... Obviously this company was hired by the organizer that has been the CONCELLO DE PONTEVEDRA and to which we must undoubtedly thank everything he does for our sport.

What part did the Galician Federation have? everything concerning the delivery of bibs and T-shirts that I do not know how to name them, I'm sure I'll never see them put on a triathlete and if I'll see them cleaning a bicycle and especially a chain that carry a lot of oil. Ugly were not, the following ... man a little please, the inscription was not cheap! More of the same ... surely someone will only "see the straw in someone else's eye".

3º THE TRIATLETS

The lots of triathletes that came with their families to Pontevedra are worthy of a special congratulations. For the city they are a significant economic impact on a weekend of the month of June. Restaurants and hotels know it and the Concello de Pontevedra also, there at least know how to host a national or international sporting event every year and everyone is so happy. Triathletes enjoy the city, the charm of the River Lerez and its surroundings.

4º THE OFFICIALS

The intense work during two days of the officials of the test (I still like to call them the judges) is important and this year also accompanied by 35º degrees of temperature and two intense days. Your work also makes a good test come out

5º VOLUNTEERS, CIVIL PROTECTION AND OTHER MEMBERS

They are fundamental and in Pontevedra very necessary. No doubt his work has been special and intense, nothing to object. Congratulations for your work.

6º THERE ARE THINGS I DO NOT LIKE

Of course that always happens. In addition to the renowned "technical" shirt, that's good, eh, because there are other things like the walking tour. After arriving at the central zone of the transition, it left towards the other side of the city and went to the corresponding kilometer point and turned.

He missed the race on foot through the center of the city that had its charm. I do not like to have lost the race through the streets of Pontevedra! I suppose there would be no other remedy.

The truth is that I did not like the finish area in the stadium, there were almost no people, other years when passing by the race on foot attracted more people, this weekend were the relatives of some of those who ran and nobody more, in addition there the heat I believe that it was greater. A little helpless you saw yourself on that track that needs a more brown and green turf and grass care. Perhaps the success would have been to take it where the audience was, another design might have had more acceptance. Anyway, in few places you can get into athletic tracks.

8º AND I DID NOT LIKE ANYTHING

I did not like the change of format in the aquathlon. Is the format changed based on temperature regulations? But if the impact of running to swim and run would not have any problem since the temperatures were between those allowed for the format run, swim, run.

If the problem was the descent running to the jetty then it was clear that what had to be done was not to allow a championship in a place where it does not have the established characteristics. Let's stop putting "patches to save the furniture".

9º IF I SAY IT, NEVER MAKE ANY CASE, BUT I SAY ...

1. Once again I think that the cadets should not be in the Absolute Spain Championships and less if they are open for the event with departures at early hours. I think that cadets and lower categories those who are "school age" must have their own event, that they are the protagonists and not those who open the test when there is almost nobody watching them. This I have already proposed to the Fetri, but ...
2. More love to the age groups, more space between departures and less people in the circuits. They must have their day, their space, their championship, "only for them" where we know who is first or who wins in each group. They pay and a lot. I've already said it once, but ...

Anyway, I just have to say that I DESERVED THE PENALTY to return to Pontevedra.
