The hour of siesta of Felipe Gutiérrez: There are also things that I like

Felipe Gutiérrez talks about the future of Triathlon in the CAR of Madrid

A friend asks me the other day if there is anything I like. Ufff the truth is that I had to think to give full in something that can be interesting and that few criticisms can do without more in those "starts" that I enter after the nap on Wednesdays.

After assessing the situations I saw clearly that I like the work that is being done in the CAR of Madrid with young people with boys and girls with a great future and with a good head for the competition, training and I hope that for the studies because for sure "none of you are going to live off the triathlon" unless you are "the triathlon rod" " So. to study.

Among my collaborations on the page TRIATHLÓN NEWS on Mondays I interviewed with those "future stars"We are looking for and I see the operation of the Center and I assure you that they work well, but of course it is only my opinion.

I remember that use of "Blume" a few years ago, where the one who was a friend of ... or the one who gave the passes was right. Fortunately the bet now is very different and the group of triathletes are young people who come from different parts of Spain and wanting to be the best. I've already interviewed five of them Ana Carvajal, Jesus del Val, Javier Lluch, Javier Romo y Cecilia Santamaría and in them I have seen that illusion, sacrifice and having things incredibly clear.

With them the work of Sergio de Torres, Benito de Torres (who are neither brothers nor cousins) and Adrian Ruano is really impeccable. I do not want to forget the former Technical Director Juan Rodriguez Biehn and all his team that was the one that really set the standards that are now under the Technical Direction of Iñaki Arenal.

Of course, "following closely" and without being distracted by Dr. Zigor Montalvo, and the physiotherapists Marta Villar and Jose Antonio Bodoque and with the support of the psychologist Manuela Marote.

Of course there are other centers around Spain, but I frequent the one in Madrid and I do not know the others, which I suppose will also be very good, I think.

In addition to the ones I have interviewed and who "I know a little more", there are also some juniors like Lucia Vergara, Andrés Cendán and Carlos Galisteo that I will be contacting them little by little.

And of course there are others, a little "older" than the previous ones but with a youth and validity in the triathlon world worthy of envy. Among them are David Castro, Antonio Benito, Jools Beardon, Arturo Galian y Jairo Ruiz.

We do not forget about Miriam Casillas that fights for the Olympic classification. He has already competed this year in Havana, Abi Dhabi, New Plymouth and on Sunday he will compete in the Worlds Series in Auckland. All this, in conjunction with his medical studies, he is currently studying 5º, with training in the CAR.

Until January they were also Tamara Gómez y Vicente Hernández, who are currently traveling around the world with the training group of Javier Gómez Noya.

And I like them for many more things and one of them is "lower the fumes"To those who are not able to fulfill some basic premises for a good operation. The so-called "Team Blume" has the following premises to meet: "The academician, the sports and be part of the group in training and outside it." The rest will come out on its own, some will start competing with acceptable results and with clear objectives like this one last weekend in Quarteira (Portugal) where they obtained great results with some other fall included and of course with a little more learning.

Where will they go? I do not know at this time nor do I worry about me or those who direct them, work is day to day and may have to spend many, many months, many years to be the best in Spain and maybe we can see some at the 2020 or 2024 JJ. What is certain is that with them the sporting and human quality is "cooking" in the CAR of Madrid, what we know of all our lives as "la Blume".

Thankfully, this Wednesday I had a nice nap, it must be spring.
